Tagesablauf

Day 1: Arrival at Bangalore (Bengaluru)

Indian Tours’ representative will meet you at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore and escort you to your pre-booked hotel. You can freshen up, order snacks and beverages, and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Bangalore sightseeing

Post-breakfast, get ready for a Bangalore city tour, which will cover the Vidhana Soudha or the seat of Karnataka’s legislature, Cubbon Park or Sri Chamarajendra Park, Government Museum, Tipu Sultan’s Fort & Palace and the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden. After sightseeing, you are free to enjoy the evening as you like. Enjoy comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Mysore

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mysore by our guide. On the way, you will be visiting Srirangapatna; Tipu’s Palace, Gumbaz, Fort and Summer Palace; and Ranganathaswamy Temple. Then, you will be continuing your drive towards Mysore and upon reaching, our guide will help you with the hotel check-in formalities. You can rest for some time before heading out to explore Karnataka’s 2nd largest city, Mysore or Mysuru. The former capital of the Wodeyars, the city is home to the magnificent Royal Palace that has a stunning Durbar Hall. The Chamundeshwari temple is a 2,000-year old temple that is nestled on a hilltop and there is a giant image of Nandi bull that you must check out. If time permits, you must travel 19km north-west of Mysore to witness the ornamental Brindavan Gardens and KRS (Krishna Raja Sagara) Dam. In the evening, this place is completely transformed with colorful lights and musical fountain. Return to the hotel and catch a good night’s sleep.

Day 4: Drive to Shravanabelagola and back to Mysore

Today, after breakfast, get ready for a full day trip to Shravanabelagola. 85km from Mysore, this is one of the most popular and renowned Jain pilgrimage sites. As you arrive, you will head to the Jain temple, which is perched on a hilltop with 500 steps cut out of rock leading to the summit. At the summit, a 57-foot high colossal Gommateswara statue stands that is approximately 1800-years old and dedicated to Bahubali, the Jain god. After your excursion in the temple town, you will return to Mysore in the evening and stay overnight.

Day 5: Drive to Bandipur

Are you up for some adventure? Look bright and fresh because today you will be heading to Bandipur National Park. As you reach, our guide will help you with the check-in formalities at the wildlife resort and allow you to rest. Post-lunch, you will enjoy an exhilarating jungle safari and wildlife viewing. This national park was once the private hunting grounds for the maharajahs of Mysore and well-known across the globe for its population of tigers. You must stay alert throughout the safari and keep an eye out for spotted deer, Indian elephants, antelopes, gaurs (bisons) and so on. Later in the evening, return to the resort and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6: Bandipur National Park

One day is possibly not enough to cover this 874km forested reserve and so, you will be indulging in exciting and adventurous jeep safari on the 6th of your tour in Bandipur National Park. The open jeep will give you ample opportunities for wildlife viewing. You will be out on a jeep from morning through to the afternoon and return to the resort in the evening. You must be tired from all the adrenaline rush of being amidst wild animals so take a nightcap early.

Day 7: Drive to Ooty, via Mudumalai

On the 7th day of your tour, Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam awaits your presence. On the way, you will be visiting the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary. This sanctuary is declared as a tiger reserve and a paradise for nature, wildlife and adventure enthusiasts. After a satisfying wildlife viewing experience, you will continue your drive towards Ooty. Check-in at the hotel on your arrival and enjoy a night stay.

Day 8: Ooty sightseeing

After a delicious breakfast, get ready for an amazing sightseeing tour of the breathtaking hill station of Ooty. Located 2240m above sea level, Ooty is surrounded by lush green. You will not only see vast expanse of tea and coffee plantations, but also trees like, eucalyptus, conifers, the wattle and pine dot the hillside. The places that our tour will cover include the Government Botanical Gardens where during the month of May, ‘summer festival’ is held; Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in Ooty at a height of 2623m; and the huge expanse of artificial lake. Later in the evening, head back to the hotel and get some sleep because our tour isn’t over yet.

Day 9: Coonoor by train to Cochin

After a delicious breakfast, get ready for an amazing sightseeing tour of the breathtaking hill station of Ooty. Located 2240m above sea level, Ooty is surrounded by lush green. Day 9: Coonoor by train to Cochin

In the morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ooty railway station from where you will board a train for Coonoor. You will be on the Nilgiri mountain railway, which was added by UNESCO in 2005 to the World Heritage Site of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. This site is known as the Mountain Railways of India. You will get to be onboard a steam locomotive and speed past green foliage all around you. The train journey will be one to remember! Once you arrive at the Coonoor railway station, you will be swept away by our representatives to be transferred to Cochin. As you arrive, you will check-in at the hotel and just rest.

Day 10: Cochin sightseeing

After a hearty breakfast, set out to explore the wonders of Cochin or Kochi. Visit the Portuguese-built Dutch Palace, spice market, the 1568 Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis’ Church. In the evening, you can watch and enjoy the popular classical dance of Kerala. Later, return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 11: Drive to Alleppey

Once you are done with breakfast, our guide will drive you to Alleppey where you will board a luxury houseboat for a tranquil overnight journey along the breathtaking Kerala backwaters. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Kovalam

After an exhilarating stay at the houseboat, you will disembark and we will transfer you to Kovalam. Upon arrival, you will check-in at your pre-booked hotel near the beach. Spend the entire day at your leisure, strolling on the beach. You can take a swim in the shallow water or just lay on the beach to soak in the sun. If you are seeking some adventure, you can check out the beach sports. If unwinding and relaxing is on your mind, an Ayurvedic massage should get you going. Later in the evening, come back to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 13: Kovalam

Enjoy south Indian breakfast in the morning and head out to explore the beautiful beaches. Unwind under the sun and let the sea drive away all of your stresses and worries. You can also surf if you are interested in adventure sports. After a fun-filled day, return to your hotel to rest and stay the night.

Day 14: Drive to Trivandrum and back to Kovalam

Post-breakfast, our representative will take you to Trivandrum. As you reach, get ready for a tour of the city covering Padmanabhaswamy Temple among other attractions. The temple is one of the pilgrimage sites of the Vaishnavites, out of 108. The temple features a unique fusion of indigenous Kerala and Tamil style of architecture and the carvings on each of its 400 pillars is surely noteworthy. If time permits, you can also visit the wonderful beach to dip your toes. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 15: Kovalam (departure)

Today marks the last day of your tour and our representative will safely transfer you to the airport where you will be boarding your flight for home or any other destination.
