Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

When you reach Delhi, you will be greeted and welcomed by India Tours’ representative at the airport. Our representative will escort you to your hotel where you will enjoy delicious meals and overnight stay.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi

Hope you have had a good night’s sleep because we have a lot planned for you today. Right after breakfast, you will head out to explore tourist hotspots in Old Delhi including India’s largest mosque, Jama Masjid; Rajghat, the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Chandni Chowk and the Red Fort. Then, after lunch, we will move to the Lotus Temple, the last of the 7 major Bahai’s temple around the world; Birla Temple; Qutb Minar; India Gate, which was built by the Britishers; President’s House, Parliament House and so on. You will also enjoy shopping at the old, busy markets of Delhi. Later in the evening, indulge in a stunning light and sound program at the Red Fort. Have dinner and stay the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi to Mandawa

Mandawa is a small town in the Jhunjhunu district of the desert state of Rajasthan. On the 3rd day of your tour, we will drive you to this town after breakfast. This town is about 5 hours away from Delhi and upon arrival, you will be guided to your hotel where you will rest and have your lunch. Post lunch, enjoy an afternoon visit to the secluded Shekhawati village. Surrounded by lush green, this village presents a picturesque view. This region is famed for its stunning havelis of the 18th to 19th century that is painted to depict extraordinary religious and mythological scenes, among others. Later, enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Mandawa to Bikaner

Today, after breakfast, we will be transferring you to Bikaner. Our guide will escort you to your pre-booked hotel. Come noon, you will be taken for an informative tour of the Camel Breeding Farm where you will learn about the breeding time and the international demand for camels, also known as the ship of the desert. Here, you will also have the chance of tasting camel’s milk and enjoying a camel ride. Then, return to the hotel in the evening and leisurely spend your time. Enjoy traditional dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Bikaner

On the 5th day of your tour, you will be exploring the dust-swirling, vibrant desert town of Bikaner. After breakfast, head to the Junagarh Fort and the Bhandasar Jain Temple. Enjoy authentic Rajasthani cuisine during your meals and be prepared to be carried away by the taste of Bikaneri sweets and snacks. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Bikaner to Jaisalmer

Post-breakfast, you will be driven to Jaisalmer, which is a 6-hour journey. Lying right in the middle of the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer is also known as the ‘Golden City’. Upon arrival, we will guide you to the pre-booked hotel and leave you for a while to rest. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure opting to rest or head out to explore the thriving local markets. Later in the evening, return to the hotel, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Sightseeing in Jaisalmer

After finger-licking breakfast, you will be leaving to explore the Jain Temples located within the Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Quila (Golden Fort), along with the astounding museum exhibiting long flowing robes of the royals of Jaisalmer and stunning art pieces. After that, you will be taken to visit Patwon Ki Haveli and also Gadisar Lake. The highlight of the day would be visiting the expansive desert grounds of this city, experiencing the sand dunes and the amazing sunset view on a camel’s back. Relish flavorful dinner and enjoy your stay at a tent house in the middle of the open desert grounds.

Day 8: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

After breakfast, you will be driven to Jodhpur. Steering through the breathtaking village roads and desert lands, you will arrive at your destination in about 5 ½- hour. We will escort you to the hotel and take care of all the check-in formalities. Once you have rested for some time, you will head to the Mandore Gardens featuring statues, a temple and tomblike monuments and then, Umaid Bhavan Palace Museum, which is one of the largest privately-owned residences by a king in the world. Enjoy dinner, and a peaceful stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Jodhpur to Ranakpur, via Kumbhalgarh

At dawn, we will start for Kumbhalgarh and cover a journey of 220km. On your arrival, you will be shifted to a hotel and then leave for exploring the Kumbhalgarh Fort that was owned by the Kings of Mewar and make use of as a hideout during times of emergency. You will see a number of gardens, palaces and temples inside of the acreage. In the evening, you will be transferred to Ranakpur. Enjoy overnight stay at the Ranakpur Tourist resort.

Day 10: Ranakpur to Udaipur

Today, we will explore Ranakpur, which is popularly known as the site for Jain pilgrimage owing to the presence of Ranakpur Jain Temples. These temples are made from white marbles featuring exemplary carvings and a sight to behold. You will be visiting the main temple or shrine of Adinath, Sun temple and so on. After that, we will drive you to Udaipur and along the way, you can look at the ingenious agricultural practices that the locals have adopted. Upon arrival, we will escort you to your hotel and leave you to enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Sightseeing in Udaipur

Udaipur got its name from Rana Udai Singh, the ruler of Mewar. This city is filled with royal legends that will intrigue and fascinate you. Your itinerary for the day includes a visit to the City Palace showcasing art pieces, antiques, peacock square and more, Lake Pichola, Saheliyon-ki-Bari, Eklingji (Shiva) Temple, Nathdwara and so on. You will be enjoying lunch in between your explorations and later in the evening, return to your hotel, have dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 12: Udaipur to Kota

You will be transferred to Kota in the morning. Owing to the temples and palaces situated here, this town holds a very special place in history. As a result of the Chambal River Valley Project, Kota is witnessing fast-paced developments. Upon arrival, we will guide you to your hotel. You can visit the Jag Mandir, Rao Madho Singh Museum, Fort and City Palace. Have dinner and enjoy overnight stay.

Day 13: Kota to Bundi to Ranthambore

Today, you will be leaving Kota for Ranthambore. En route, we are going to take a pit stop at Bundi. Ruled by Hada Chauhan royal dynasty, Bundi gets its name from Bunda Meena, a Meena king. You will see here the stunning Bundi Fort, which is a classic example of Rajput architecture. After that, we will continue driving towards Ranthambore and will arrive at Sawai Madhopur in the evening. This is the gateway to the Ranthambore National Park. We will escort you to the hotel and let you rest the night.

Day 14: Ranthambore to Jaipur

Today, you will be enjoying a thrilling and exciting wild safari in the well-preserved lands of the Ranthambore National Park. Covered under the Project Tiger 1973, this park is home to the ferocious Royal Bengal Tigers. Be sure to stay alert when driving in a jeep through the jungle so that you can spot a tiger. There are also other varieties of flora and fauna for you to explore. Later in the evening, we will transfer you to Jaipur and guide you to your pre-booked hotel on your arrival. Enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 15 & 16: Sightseeing in Jaipur

Jaipur or the ‘Pink City’ is the capital of the desert state of Rajasthan and everything about this city evokes the royal days of the past. Here, you will be visiting the Amer Fort including Sheesh Mahal, Nahargarh Fort and the Jaigarh Fort. All three of these forts were once owned by the Monarch of Jaipur, Sawai Jai Singh II who was an astronomer, a mathematician and a town planner. The forts are strategically located on the Aravalli range. Enjoy delicious Rajasthani meals and overnight hotel stay.

On the 16th day of your tour, you will take a little excursion to Jantar Mantar (astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II), City Palace and so on. In the evening, you can head to the local markets to shop for fine traditional handicrafts. Enjoy regal hospitality at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 17: Jaipur to Delhi

Sadly, the last day of your tour has arrived. Today, you will be driven to Delhi after breakfast and we will drop you off at the airport. From there, you will be boarding your flight for your home or onward destination.
