Day 1: Bangalore

Indian Tours’ representative will greet and welcome you at the Bangalore airport. We will escort you to your pre-booked hotel and allow you to catch your breath. Enjoy a pleasant night stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Bangalore Sightseeing & Drive to Mysore

Today, after breakfast, you will be taken for a half-day Bangalore city tour where you will be visiting the Vidhan Sabha that houses the Secretariat and the State’s Legislature; beautiful gardens and Nandi Temple, which is one of India’s oldest temples, also called Bull temple. After the tour, indulge in finger-licking south Indian meal and then, you will be driven to Mysore and on the way, you will visit Srirangapatna (Seringapatam), the capital city of the Kingdom of Mysore ruled by Hyder Ali and his son, Tipu Sultan. It boasts of a number of spectacular monuments that tourists come to visit from across the globe. Then, you will continue towards Mysore and upon your arrival, you will check-in to the hotel, enjoy delectable dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Mysore Sightseeing & Drive to Bandipur

After a hearty breakfast, prepare to leave for a Mysore sightseeing tour. Mysore or Mysuru is the princely city that gets its name from the legend that there once was a demon, known as Mahishasura who was a tyrant and killed by Chamundeshwari, the goddess. Mysore was the capital of the former Wadiyar or Wodeyar dynasty. This Hindu dynasty ruled the Mysore Kingdom from 1399 to 1950, with a brief interruption in the later part of the 1700s. You will be visiting the temple of Mysore’s guardian deity, Chamunda, the 2000-year old Chamundeshwari temple that rests on a hilltop and halfway up the hill, you will see a majestic 4.8 meter-monolith of Lord Shiva’s bull, Nandi Bull. You will also be visiting the Brindavan Gardens where the colorful lights and musical fountains transforms this place into a magical land, and the Krishnarajasagara Dam.

In the evening, you will be transferred to Bandipur. Check-in to the wildlife resort on your arrival, have dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 4: Bandipur Safari

Get up early and quickly finish your breakfast. Today, you will be spending the whole of your morning and afternoon indulging in exhilarating jungle safari to the Bandipur National Park. Bandipur’s unapologetic wild terrain used to be the private hunting grounds of the rulers or maharajahs. You will thoroughly enjoy the wildlife viewing experience where you will spot bonnet macaque, Asian elephant, wild boar, jungle cat, gaur, chital, golden jackal, squirrel, Bengal fox, grey mongoose, pangolin, ruddy mongoose, fox, sloth bear, leopard, tiger, lion-tailed macaque and so on. Bandipur is also home to a fascinating variety of birds. This park is a must-visit for those seeking for an enriching and wholesome wildlife experience. Return to the resort, eat dinner and rest your aching bones.

Day 5: Bandipur Trekking & Drive to Wayanad

Early morning, we will take you on a breathtaking nature trek, which is within the forest’s premises. After that, you will return to the resort and gorge on delicious breakfast. Post-breakfast, you will be transferred to Wayanad. Once you arrive, we will take care of the hotel check-in formalities and allow you to freshen up and rest. You can order some snacks or simply relax. Once you are rested, we will leave for the world-famous Edakkal Caves, which is 12km from Sultan Bathery. There are 3 caves that are located at a height of 1,000 meters on Ambukuthi mala, a mountain near Ambalavayal. At the walls of the natural caves at Edakkal, you will find pictographic writings of the Stone Age that proves the existence of pre-historic civilizations. Then, return to the hotel, dig into yummy dinner and retire to your hotel room.

Day 6: Wayanad Sightseeing

After a yummilicious breakfast, you will go for a full day local tour of Wayanad. You will be visiting the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats and Wayanad at 2,100m above sea-level and a paradise for trekkers. The Neelimala Viewpoint can be seen from the Chembra Hill, as well as, Vaduvanchal, which is also an excellent place for trekking and boasts of inspiring trails. You will enjoy a fascinating 2km jungle trek that is off the main Ooty road and reach the breathtaking Meenmutty Falls, the most amazing and largest waterfall in the Wayanad district. In case there is still time left, you will also visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Sultan Bathery and Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary. Later in the evening, return back to the resort, gorge on delectable food and catch a good night’s sleep.

Day 7: Drive to Kozhikode

Have breakfast and get ready to leave for Kozhikode. Our guide will drive you to Kozhikode and on the way, you will be visiting Pazhassi Raja Archaeological Museum and Art Gallery that displays historic coins, bronzes, murals, megalithic relics and paintings by Keralan artists. You will also visit Mananchira Square situated at the heart of Kozhikode and the private bath of the Samuthiris (Lord of the Sea), Mananchira Tank. Check-in at the hotel on your arrival at Kozhikode and rest for some time. Then, head out to have a leisurely time at the Kappad Beach. On this beach, you will find a stone monument that commemorates the arrival of Vasco Da Gama to India. Relish on south Indian delicacies and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Drive to Guruvayur

Once you have eaten breakfast, get ready to leave for Guruvayur. Check-in at your pre-booked hotel when you arrive and freshen up. Then, leave for a tour of the scenic Guruvayur, which is a flourishing township in the district of Thrissur. You will be covering Sree Guruvayurappan Temple and the Anakotta – Guruvayoor Devaswom Elephant Sanctuary. The elephant sanctuary is considered as one of the world’s largest elephant sanctuaries. The sanctuary is located in Punnathur Kotta (Anakkotta), which is 3km away from the temple of Guruvayur. During your sightseeing, take a break and have lunch. Once your energy is replenished, continue with your sightseeing and witness Guruvayur Temple’s aarti in the evening. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Drive to Athirappilly

You will be driven to Athirapilly by our representative where you will catch a glimpse of the stunning Athirapilly and Vazhachal Falls. You will check-in at the nature resort on your arrival and then, you are free to indulge in the beauty of nature by visiting the waterfalls of Vazhachal and Athirapilly. The waterfalls are the perfect picnic spot and they are not just calm and mesmerizing, but also very wild. The waterfalls start calmly, but go on to crash through the gorges. Enjoy overnight stay at the resort.

Day 10: Drive to Munnar

On the 10th day of your tour, you will be leaving for Munnar after breakfast. The road leading to Munnar is laden with picturesque views that will bring you closer to nature. Once you arrive, you will check-in at the pre-booked hotel. Rest for some time, order some snacks and have your lunch. After that, in the evening, you will go out for a Munnar tour witnessing tea gardens that are spread like a lush carpet over hundreds of kilometers. Munnar has a very low population and the pollution here is less. During your stay, you will be surrounded by nature and will be able to unwind and relax. Enjoy awesome food and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Munnar Sightseeing

Today, after breakfast, you will be visiting the highest peak of Munnar, the Anamudi Peak. Here, you will find the mountain goats or Neel thar. You will also be visiting the Mattupetty Dam, which is an Indo-Swiss project. Enjoy delectable lunch in the afternoon and after that, go for boating in the lake, if you want. Return to your hotel, have dinner and rest.

Day 12: Drive to Thekkady

Today, you will be driven to Thekkady, which is the location of Kerala’s largest wildlife sanctuary, the Periyar National Park. There is also the 120-year old Surki dam that is built across the Periyar. The wildlife sanctuary spreads across 777 square kilometers and is surrounded by an artificial lake that covers an area of 25 square kilometers. Once you arrive at Thekkady, you will be checked into your hotel. During the afternoon, you can indulge in nature trek in the sanctuary. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Thekkady Sightseeing & Drive to Alleppey

Get up in the morning, have your breakfast and start for the Periyar Lake to enjoy a boat cruise. You will get a chance to witness nature and wildlife at its best from your boat. Then, you will be transferred to Alleppey, a city known for its temples, beaches and traditional boat races. In fact, this place is also called ‘Venice of the East’ thanks to its wide network of inland canals. Alleppey gets its vast natural beauty from these canals. Once you arrive, check-in at the pre-booked houseboat and stay onboard for the night.

Day 14: Drive to Cochin

After spending a romantic and thrilling night abroad a comfortable houseboat, you will disembark and be transferred to Cochin or Kochi. On your arrival, you will check-in to the hotel and freshen up. Then, you will be taken for a sightseeing tour. You will enjoy lunch and dinner, and then, retire to your hotel room for night stay.

Day 15: Departure from Cochin

Our guide will transfer you to the airport on time so that you can board your flight for home or any other onward destination. This is where we bid you goodbye hoping that you had a wonderful time with us.
