Day 1: Delhi
On arrival at the Delhi International Airport, India Tours’ representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel where you will receive a warm, traditional welcome. You can order refreshments and relax for some time in your hotel room. After resting, you will enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour with your first destination being the famous Red Fort. You will enjoy the light and sound program here and after that, dig into delicious dinner and retire to your hotel room.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi
After breakfast, get ready to explore India’s capital territory, which has two sides – the old and the new. Kick-start your sightseeing tour with a visit to Old Delhi and then, move to explore New Delhi. In Old Delhi, you will be connected with the old culture and tradition, while New Delhi presents modern life with fast-paced development and urbanization.
You will find lots of things to purchase in the renowned markets of Old Delhi that have been around for several years. Besides the old markets, you will visit some of the places of historical interest like, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid and the Red Fort. While you are in Old Delhi, you might want to hop on to one of the traditional cycles, called rickshaw for an enjoyable ride. After exploring Old Delhi, you will move to New Delhi and visit popular tourist sites like, Laxminarayan Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutb Minar, National Art Gallery and Akshardham Temple.
If you like, we will arrange for you a guide who knows the history and culture of the places that you will be visiting. The capital city of India is not only about temples and historical sites; it is also home to fabulous pubs, shopping malls and movie theaters that you must not miss. Enjoy dinner at night in one of the popular restaurants and stay the night at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra
Soon after breakfast, you will be transferred to Agra, also known as Uttar Pradesh’s love city. You will be covering 204km to reach Agra and we will stop on the way so that you can enjoy lunch at a well-known restaurant on the highway. On your way, you will also be visiting Akbar’s tomb, which is considered a masterpiece of Mughal architecture in Sikandra.
Upon your arrival in Agra, our representative will take you to the pre-booked hotel and leave you for some time to rest. Once you are rested, you will be driven to the factories of marble because Agra is famed for making marbles. This will be followed by delicious Mughlai dinner at a popular restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Agra
On the 4th day of your tour, make sure to get up bright and early so that you can catch a glimpse of the changing colors of the Taj Mahal. This is an incredible experience and a number of tourists reach the Taj Mahal early in the morning in order to explore its wonderful beauty. The Taj was built by Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal and it stands today as a symbol of love.
After your early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, you will return to the hotel and have breakfast. Then, our representative will drive you to the Agra Fort where the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan spent the last days of his life as he was imprisoned by Aurangzeb, his own son. After this, you will be heading towards the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah, a Mughal mausoleum. Then, enjoy delectable lunch.
Post lunch, you can explore Agra city on your own. You can visit art and handicrafts center if you are a connoisseur of art or spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you will visit the Taj Mahal again in enjoy the setting sun. End the awesome day with finger-licking dinner and overnight hotel stay.
Day 5: Agra to Jaipur
On the 5th day of your tour, you will be driven 250kms to reach Jaipur, also known as the Pink City of Rajasthan. You will be visiting Fatehpur Sikri on your way. This is a small city that was found by a 16th century Mughal emperor and an architectural beauty.
The city of Jaipur has so many sites for you to explore like, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, gardens and temples. Street folk singings are another great attraction here and the haunting traditional melody is sure to give you memories of a lifetime. Jaipur is also renowned for jewelry, art & handicrafts products and textile. So, go ahead and unleash the shopaholic in you. For dinner, you will be served Rajasthani food. After your meal, catch a good night’s sleep and get ready for the next day.
Day 6: Sightseeing in Jaipur
Today, you will be exploring the Pink City after breakfast. India Tours’ representative will take you to Amer Fort. Here, you can enjoy an elephant ride. Then, you will visit Jaigarh Fort, overlooking the Maota Lake and Amer Fort, and witness the gargantuan canon on wheels. After this, you will enjoy lunch at a renowned restaurant. Post lunch, you will be driven to tourist attractions like, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, gardens, temples and Astronomical Observatory. You can also shop for traditional things, such as jewelry, carvings, paintings, carpets and so on. Then, you will be heading towards Jal Mahal where an exhilarating camel ride awaits. Later in the evening, you will be enjoying authentic Rajasthani cuisine, along with folk music and dance at Jaipur’s themed restaurant, called Choki Dhani. After dinner, retire to your hotel room.
Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi
This is the last day of your tour. Today, after breakfast, our representative will drive you to Delhi, which is at a distance of 258km. On your way, you will be having lunch at a roadside restaurant. Once you reach the national capital of India, you will say goodbye to our representative and board your homeward flight or to any other destination.
